So we finally did it! August 3rd 2010, myself & 7 of the original skydiving “crew” finally got the chance to JUMP!
As you may have noticed, we kept it quiet as we didn’t want to jinx our (3rd time lucky) jump, we thought we’d keep it on the “down-low” head up there and pray for some sunshine and minimal clouds!
Luckily for us it paid off! We all got the chance to jump and I have to say it was an amazing experience! One that I would recommend to anyone! And if you’re sat there thinking “oh it’s too scary or nah I’m too old for that” you really have no excuse.. there was a woman jumping on the day who was 76!! haha what a star!
After the jump we were on cloud 9 (pun intended 
) & if you’ve ever done a skydive you will know the feeling that if you can jump out of a plane at 10,000ft there is nothing that you can’t do. For all of us it has taken us “to the next level“.. we feel unstoppable now!
Some of us have really got the skydiving bug now.. we’re itching to get back there, and myself and some of the boys are also looking into completing an AFF course (accelerated freefall) so that we can really get the adrenaline buzz and fly solo!! The day was made all the more memorable and amazing by the fact that we were celebrating a birthday too!
The outstanding Shaqir Hussyin (he’s one to keep your eye on people!) was sharing his birthday with us, not only was he lucky enough to get a cake ( ) but we also carried on the party back down to London for some chilled time with some good food and shisha.. and then partied it up @ Karaoke Box in Soho! I have to say the whole day was just awesome! Such a great mix of people, completely on a level having a damn great time! Thanks for all of those who supported us in raising money for UNiCEF, it was a pleasure to be able to help a great cause with some great people too!
P.S On the way home Saj, Shaq & I were discussing what other crazy stuff we could get on the list of things to do! Tandem skydiving is done, Solo skydiving is on the cards.. If you can think of anything that either you have experienced yourself or you have heard is crazy amazing, then hit me up in the comments box below & maybe we can add them to our list too!! haha!
